Good oysters The Beni was delicious For the bottomless mimosas They need to refill properly and when I say refill the waitress only filled our glasses less then halfway. Asked her to top of our glasses, she finally did. Not worth $25 if I'm gonna be getting half a glass each time.

Had an excellent brunch here this weekend. Bottomless mimosas or rose for $25, consider it done! Make sure to arrive with enough time to take advantage of this, as it ends around 2pm. I really appreciate that our waiter let us start by just ordering one drink and seeing if we wanted to go for the bottomless option after that. The restaurant is beautifully lit inside, with two gorgeous outdoor seating areas as well. I ordered the herringbone benedict as suggested by our waiter and I was very pleased. The salmon and the hollandaise sauce make a perfect combo! My friend is a vegetarian and our waiter was very helpful in pointing out good options or customizable ones for her. Definitely a great spot to grab brunch on a sunny LA afternoon. We will be back!

Herringbone gives off an established, manicured aura. It's a large restaurant with a fancy bar and plenty of tables. Our server was excellent - attentive and friendly. No complaints. We got the shishito peppers and the Pacific striped bass. The shishito peppers were under-cooked and way too spicy. Would not order again. The bass was wonderful. I loved the romesco sauce, extremely flavorful. I'd recommend this! I would like to come back and try the whole fish ceviche. This seems to be what they're known for.

I had this place bookmarked for so long and was stoked to finally see it for myself! We came for Saturday brunch and almost had the whole place to ourselves. It was very instagramable I must admit. We sat at a table with a lush green backdrop. I loved every single detail in there. It was a little bit too dim for daytime though, I'll say. After browsing their brunch menu, the hubby and I decided to split an omelet and French toast. I wished their menu offered more non-seafood brunch options. The French toast didn't have any fancy ingredients but it was well made and hit the spot. The omelet was even plainer. Come to think of it, that omelet was supposed to be their special, not on the menu item. I don't know what was so special about it, but hey, it was well made and I enjoyed it. This is a place that comes alive at night. So maybe we will re-visit at another time!

I will always be a huge fan of the cottage but this place is something else !! First off, the interior of the restaurant is so adorable. There are small couch style tables and larger lounge type tables for small or big parties. What I love is that you feel super relaxed and at ease. Came for brunch and the food did not disappoint.

Herringbone is my favorite restaurant in Santa Monica! The happy hour (4pm-7pm) is so addicting that I once went there 3x's a week. I mean...oysters for $1 and that Baja stone crab are so good! Plus they have warm chocolate cookies! Aside from happy hour, I'm also a fan of their whole fish (branzino). Every dish they serve is just so fresh and wonderfully seasoned. I still can't get enough. Parking can be validated at the front. Must try if you're in Santa Monica!

Planning a future brunch with the gang? Great for groups, couples, and solo adventurers -- might be best to send in an RSVP online or over the phone. Groups will not be seated until at least half of your party has arrived. While it is Santa Monica and parking is known to be pretty crazy, a suggestion of carpooling or parking somewhere else and walking or taking a Lyft or Uber could be an option especially if you're planning on sticking around the area, otherwise I believe they do have valet? The interior is a spacious coastal under the sea-like atmosphere pulling in the blue and green hues of the ocean along with blowfish, bones, bouys, paddles, greenery (wasn't close enough to see if it was a live wall of plants or not), marble and metal tables dressed with cloth napkins, silver utensils, and gorgeous glass blue tumblers reminiscent of the kind I wanted from Anthropologie a while back. They offer bottomless mimosas or endless rose (both priced at $25) for brunch -- switching it up is not allowed, however if one of your friends gets mimosas and you get rose, you can do the swap at the table. (they re-use the glass they give you and keep refilling whenever they see it getting low). There is also a Brunch Special Menu where my group and my table ordered either the Farmer's Market Scramble ($16), The Basic ($12), Lobster Roll ($29) and for myself the Three Little Pigs Hash ($19). Seems like their menu changes based on seasonality -- these are items off their September 2018 Brunch Menu. I wasn't that impressed with the presentation of my dish, but the taste (+adding in hot sauce) was pretty perfect to me. The Basic comes in a cute skillet. I think you could get more food for your money with that or the Farmer's Market Scramble. Loved our waitress -- she was always really good at making sure we had everything we needed. I felt like my glass (water and rose) was never empty until we had the check. The restrooms were clean and a good size. The restaurant itself is large and carries tons of indoor seating as well as a couple outdoor patio tables, the bar with bar seating, bar tables, and even comfy looking couches and chairs to sit on in like a type of lounge area. I would come back to try more items off their menu for sure! Seafood is a must try, but since I was there for brunch I wasn't quite in the mood. Also an interesting place for people watching (if you're into that sort of thing).
